    Gentlemen,
as some of you may remember, I have a strict policy of "one IWC per year" which I more or less obey. No matter if new or pre-owned. BUT....there's always an exception to the rule. I was looking for the Portugieser Regulateur for such a long time that I simply had to buy it earlier this year:

Though it is very close to what I have already:

Still, there was one inbound which made the exception to the rule. A Portugieser which was or still is discussed controversial amongst watch enthusiast. But I wanted it since I first saw that dial and now, gents, it's here:

Tom, congratulations on a great and unusual IWC for your collection. It takes a few glances, but then it is quite easy to tell the time on these.

Huge congrats Tom, I love mine! It certainly is a unique piece being a Portuguiser yet it is so sporty with the titanium, carbon fiber and fly back chronograph. I've been waiting for this reveal since I saw Jarrods photos of his visit to Schaffhausen.

2 beautiful additions to your collection, congrats on that. I must say i grow more and more to like the regulateur dial lay out. Can you share more of the movement ? I believ its hand wound and very nicely decorated.

Tom, both are awesome! One of them I remember with a smile meeting personally just a few weeks ago. The Regulateur is a very special jewel and the dial of the Ocean Racer is a blast. Congratulations to have broken the rule at the right time. ;-)

Awesome Tom. I remember seeing the VOR back when it came out and I didn't like it at first. But I love it now. Dial is very cool and in the flesh it is a great watch. Love the ALL BLACKS pic too.

Fantastic Tom, major congrats - TWICE!
That Regulator is gorgeous and is on my wish list. The VOR though was higher on my wish list and fortunately it has already been with me for a few years - and I still love it. As my good friend Mr. KS Low once put it: "that is the IWC that is the most YOU"

I think both of these are YOU Tom - congrats again :-)

    Congrats on this fantastic triple!
Those three watches show the enormous wingspan of the Portugieser series very well. From elegant and classic to technically and sporty to a scarcely seen regulateur complication there is a Portugieser for every taste.
Out of your triple my favorite watch is the 5444 - this one is on my wishlist for a rather long time now, but there are nearly no opportunities to get a good one.
    Enjoy your dream team. :-)
