One member already showed a picture of a Big Pilot with Ardoise dial from the SIHH 2016, but he had no more information. It was not among the official releases i think ?
I now see the same watch on the hautetime website listed as an LPP version which it is not in my opinion, ref 5027 01. So will it be officially released and what is the correct refenerce number ?. And is it in steel or is it white gold ?
Anyone with more intel please let us now as it is a Very nice execution of the BP 2016, maybe the best imo.

You are correct that from all the models officially launched during SIHH this model was not formally made public.

It is normal that many other models being planned or in development are not made public during SIHH and will be made public soon.

I guess we need to be patient to find out for sure if your "mystery" BP annual calendar with the ardoise dial will be fact or fiction ;-)

I am picking up this thread from January, because I also still have this BP Annual Calendar in the back of my head. The watch is covered in this official IWC Film: at 0:25 on the wrist and again at 1:35 for just a fraction of a second.
    Here is a screenshot:

Is there still no info on when this beauty will be available?

    Jochen,

Some photos for you of the BP Annual Calendar Spitfire with Ardoise dial in the metal below. It's being launched initially through Harrods boutiques around the world.

Thanks JBW, Ben en TeeVeeTee for following up on this model ! Great pictures too. I like the Pilot and Calendar combination, and ardoise is the perfect match.

Just picked one up on Friday. Beautiful ardoise dial, and I really like seeing this complication on a BP.

    Any advice?

Welcome to the forum. You can't go wrong between these two. If you like a more modern look, go for the Annual Calendar.

I give immense credit to Thang as his insights and pictures helped me find exactly what I was seeking. In his words: beautiful Annual Calendar BP... a gorgeous radiant dial, full of brains and brawn, and yet so deceptively simple and understated in its layout.

The 48 Heritage is very puristic.
This Annual Calendar is an outstanding beauty with a very useful and beautiful complication. My choice would be the annual calendar. I'm really drawn towards this model. I love it.
