I have no history or details about the watch besides the pictures and that it’s a manual watch approx. 35mm. From looking at forum and pictures on google, it seems to be a small Portuguese, but I cannot find an exact match. Anyone know the model, and reference for this watch?
It has some stains, but it works well.
    Regards.

    Nice watch!
It's a typical IWC from the 40's. They have no model reference (as far as I know). It's probably a cal. 88 or maybe 83. The crown is not original and the hands also appear to have been replaced. Enjoy it.
    Cheers.

    Hello Cinsault,
The term "small Portugieser does not apply here.
Around 2000 IWC made a Portugieser watch, called by collectors "small Portugieser". It was an automatic watch with glass( sapphire) case back and a JLC movement : Ref. 3531, 3532.
The dial of your watch has some resemblance with the Original Portugiesr of IWC, but everything else on the watch is different. If you open the watch you can read the movement number and we can tell you exactly the calibre and the year of production.
    Kind regards,
    drian,
    (alwaysiwc).

    Very nice vintage piece.

Definately worthwhile to get it properly serviced.
