I'm trying to find the model and approximate date for this watch, and I'm also curious about the dial.  The dial has a green tint and under a loupe it is speckled with various colors including red, black, green, and gold, and the font seems to also be made of this speckled gold.  Can anyone tell me more about this one and if this type of dial coating sounds familiar, or possibly fake? I can't get good photos at the moment but need to make a decision about buying it in the next day or so./site_media/ckeditor_images/787c5165d612d7419143f2b786d926ca.jpg

These watches were made during 70/80s and the dial is Lapis.
Some kind of polished stone, maybe marble.

Thank you.  I was going to mention that it looked like stone. There is a green lapis too, other than just blue, but it is so uniform that it didn't seem natural.  I like it better than most square watches I've seen, but I still can't find another like it so it is hard to know if I should grab it.  If someone has a model that I could look up it would be very helpful.

'stardust' dial, no great shakes...simply a variant of fire-gilt finish which can be topped-up by useing metallic shellac (where the extra colours come from), the signature because of the uneven surface is often signed within the coats of shellac. The type of finish was also used by other manafacturers especially on manual-wind pieces in an automatic vogue period (but not exclusively)..a cheap way of promoting a simple soon to be extinct watch into a limited boutique must have.
