    Hi everyone,

I have the opportunity the buy an IWC Portuguese 7 days, but without box &
papers. As I'm not really 100% familiar with all the specs of IWC, I was
wondering if someone could give their opinion about the watch (see photos).
    Real?

    Thank you in advance.

Hello Maxim, from what I see, it looks OK, but that is not a guarantee. Most
of the time we also say here :buy the seller.

Can you trust him? Is the deal too good to be true...

    Good luck

    Hi Tonny,

    thanks for the answer!

Well, the deal is pretty good and the seller is a young boy who got it from
his uncle (don't know him in person, but got connected trough my brother..).
That's why I ask it in the first place.. Contacted some Authorised dealers as
well, but can't hop in due to covid..

    Best Regards,
    Maxim

    Hello Maxim

I've checked the serial number, which can be seen on your photo. The 6000948
belongs to this model (IW500710). So, regarding this, it seems alright.

    Greetings Philipp

    Check the deployant clasp.
It seems to be missing the IWC Probus Scaffusia medallian - or is it there and
    just not visible due
to low resolution of the pictures?

Another question, I see the 'hour pointer/ hour marker' at 4 is missing. How
much would it cost to change that? Any rough idea? :-)

    Thank you

    I don't see anything missing at 4?

If something has fallen off, that is a sign all is not well and a big NO
    NO....

Firstly, we are very supsiscious of watches from uncles.....we have seen many
bad ones, both uncles and watches!

Secondly, a marker falls off as a result of two things - 1. A very hard knock
or 2. It is a fake.

If it is a result of 1, it will require a very expensive service.

    Just stay away

    Hello Maxim,

While I cannot view the specific photos you mentioned, it's important to
exercise caution when purchasing a luxury watch without box and papers. To
determine the authenticity of the IWC Portuguese 7 days watch, it is
recommended to consult with an expert or reach out to an authorized IWC
dealer. They can help verify the authenticity based on the provided images and
provide you with valuable insights. Additionally,
    researching the seller's
reputation, evaluating the price in comparison to market value, and closely
examining the condition and details of the watch are all important steps to
consider before making a purchase. Remember to conduct thorough research and
seek expert advice to ensure a reliable and authentic purchase.

    Hi Maximb,

Hope so you're doing fine, according to attached photos the watch is looking
similar to original product but you've to analyze each thing before buying it
and also take some days check warranty to have a safe backup for your money.

Hope so this will help you!

    Regards,

    Bryce June
