Need some help, gonna bring the watch to an AD to authenticate but wanted to
post here since I wont make it over for a bit. Picked this up on Ebay and
wanted to see if any forum members here had any info on this model. I have
searched the internet but have had no luck finding any info. I have seen some
listings posted for sale with yellow markers but mostly orange. any info would
    be appreciated. Thanks, John

The watch is ref 3548-06. It was issued with very orange numbers and accents
    which in
quite a few cases faded to a yellow color, which is apparently what happened
    to the watch you have.

Shipped the watch in to IWC for a service and hopefully a bezel swap back to
    orange!

    Congratulations!! What a gorgeous piece.

Personally I would leave the faded bezel. The patina (if you will) looks
    awesome.

If that watch were a Rolex, collectors would say it had a "tropical" dial, and
its value would, at least, double. Go figure. :0)

If you put a gun to my head and said you only get to have one watch for the
rest of your life, this is one I would choose. The Cousteau Divers has
traveled the world with me, been to the top of Half Dome and comforted me at
many resorts where I stick my butt on a chaise lounge and dream about watches.
And IWC replaced my bezel, which also turned yellow. The new one has stayed
orange for many years so far.

    I wear mine on a
    bracelet
