Need some information

I am here to ask for some feedback on a watch that was gifted to me by my late grandfather. He got it as a gift from former president of Yugoslavia Josip Broz Tito for years of service as his personal doctor. I was told that thees watches were given in bulk to military officers. Recently i started checking out those watches and i found a lot differences in design and movement numbers between my and those watches. Couldn't find anything about this exact watch, i might have looked at wrong places. So here i am asking for some information.

As seen in pictures, the watch is not in perfect condition. What i did find is that its from 1970-1975 and that its a cal 403.

If you can I would find an authorisd dealer and get it sent to IWC for restoration, specify how much work you want done, service of movement, case restored, dial restored. Saying yes to all may cost €2000 as it an 18karat case. But this is your grandfathers watch from Tito, which may not add value but is rather special.
I would be proud to own such a piece but I would be careful to retain the character of the watch.
Sending it via an authorised dealer to IWC will mean being parted with it for 4 months at least.

You can bring it to an Authorized IWC dealer and have the watch sent in to IWC for evaluation, and they will provide a list of recommended services and pricing. After seeing the service pricing, you can decide. I think it may be best to get a quote from IWC.
