Interesting article. Now how about a stainless steel version of this big date beauty?

When I first saw the 2012 Pilot range at SIHH in January, I imeadiately identified 2 watches as being absolutely fantastic in their design. All the 2012 novelties are good looking watches, but to me the Spitfire Chrono and the Spitfire with digital (oops sorry - numeric) display were the two I liked most.

Reading is article, I know i like it even more. Great feat of horological engineering - only wish it was available in white gold.

Thank you very much for the well written article and beautiful images. It's a wonderful movement and I was lucky enough to have been at the introduction when it was first presented in the Da Vinci line during the 2009 Collectors Meeting in Schaffhausen.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

And even bigger wish for it to be available in stainless steel, as Alan suggests.

    Shing,

Have you seen the Spitfire Perpetual Calendar Digital Date in the HK Flagship?

Love to check it out when it arrives HK.

Fascinating to see and read about how the perpetual date mechanism works. A really beautiful watch. Every detail has been handled wonderfully, right down to the Spitfire rotor. If it was in steel, it would be perfect.
