Michael and David, an excellent article on the watch family that has formed the core of my IWC collection. Well done.

What a fantastic read, thanks Michael and David!
very interesting! Thank you very much.
Thanks Michael
a beautiful article on a beautiful watch. As you know, I also have a ref. 325, with an interesting dial and -as all of them - a beautiful movement:

I particularly like the structure of the dial , the two-tones soft colours and the applied indices.
But before this, I also acquired its very young cousin, i.e. a 1997 Ltd edition for Pisa (ref. 5441-07, 50 pieces). This time the dial has blue graphics with arab numerals. And a gorgeous movement as usual.

Hello Franco, thanks for sharing these pictures, especially of the beautiful movements.
Its interesting to note that the pallet fork of the caliber 98 seems to have an anglage unlike the one in the newer 9828!
Great article Michael !
Congrats to both authors! Fantastic piece of scholarship as is David's e-book, which should truly be published as a hardcover. I'd willingly pay big bucks (euros) for it!
Maybe to add to this really great article and IWCs history, there is a very very early ref 325 cal 74 portugiese coming up for auction at Bonham
s.
It has Case No.942079, and Movement No.918214, listed as circa 1935. If i use the date app is gives 1929 for the movement and 1932 for the case production.
If correct that should make it one of the earliest ever made and maybe of interest to dr. Seyffer and the museum ?
Klonk --that watch is a marriage. All known Ref. 325s have cases with low 7 digit serial numbers. It is a very good fake --everyone should beware.
Well Thank you , and this forum, Always good to share. I wonder why it wasnt listed as ref 325, and i expected it to be out of range anyway`s.
Here's the culprit:
I was wondering when this forum would notice that unit. I emailed Micheal about it last week wondering if it was a legit unit.
It will be very interesting to see what price it goes for, if 2 uninformed bidders get going it will be quite a pricey sale....
