Dear Collectors and friends of IWC,

please see the new Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar Edition 2011 in 18-carat red gold limited to 250 pieces.

As it`s predecessors this special edition with its characteristic black/sand beige dial is packed with outstanding technical features, among them the IWC-manufactured 51614 calibre with Pellaton winding and seven-day power reserve, as well as a perpetual calendar with a four-digit year display.

Beautiful! The matching of the colour of the rose gold case with the numbers is very befitting, stimmungsvoll (atmospheric?).

At a certain point in time IWC should make a book on all the Big Pilot Perpetual Calendars produced, it would be interesting to compare all these versions.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

This is a fantastic watch, but it will have to grace some other persons wrist.

Interesting - another red gold BPPC.

I like Paul's choice of adjectives - 'atmospheric'. The last few BPPCs and BPs seems to me quite "atmospheric" in design, esp the Bucherer one.

I like most versions of the BP PC. The red arrows on the sundial hands is a great design feature on this version. But, overall this one is not for me. I look forward to additional BP versions in 2012. good times are coming soon.

Hi Kelvin, how are things ?

well, red gold has never done well with me - the 8 days is one grand exception ... but we'll see.

having mulled over Big Pilots, I still don't love one enough yet, although with 2012 who knows. the closest is a 5002 actually.

I do have a IWC surprise coming up - but don't hold your breath, its going to take quite a while, going into 2012. non-IWC 'surprises' could be earlier. availability and pricing leave little choices, but for now its a pleasant problem.

No doubt about it - this is a handsome watch !

Very similar features to the LE they produced for that Parisian AD.

    Best regards
