    Ceratanium®, after a logistical adventure.

The seller fought his way through to the logistics headquarter and those
motivated the deliverer to finally deliver?!

I had already given up the watch, but now it's here ...

    Why this watch =>

Great watch ( Hodinkee edition) and very interesting and instructive comments
on the different case material. Nice parade.

    Congratulations

PS ( I am with you regarding size and no date....)

Thanks to all for your interest on the limited 39 mm HODINKEE.

Just a little comparison to a 36 mm Mark XII. The difference of weigt of these
    watches is just 3 grams.

Huge Congrats Heiko! Like the HODINKEE edition a lot, but unfortunately too
    small for my wrist.

Thanks to all for your further congratulations and reactions.

This 39 mm HODINKEE is like a modern Mark XI with the case shape of the first
    ceramic, the ref. 3705.

    @ MR. PATRICK STACHEL:

I am primarily a vintage collector and therefore used to watches with the
usual diameters of vintage era, which by the way are very comfortable to wear.
And those watch diameters followed the movement diameters. Due to this, I dont
like big watches with tiny movements.

The Hodinkee edition is a terrific rendition of the Mark 11 and is fantastic

Beautiful addition, Heiko! I am being tempted myself by the Top Gun model in
Ceratanium. I love the No-Date feature (I love the lack of date feature?) of
your watch. I have been sporting the 42mm watches so much lately, I fear a
39mm might seem small on my wrist! Still, it is a lovely watch, and I for one
love the creamy color of the lume (as I love the color of perfectly aged
tritium)! You enjoy the watch, we'll enjoy the fabulous photos :)

Only thing I don't like is the scratchy AR coating on the glas

The problem with the coating (any coating of glass) was the reason why IWC
started using coated glasses very late.

Basically, the coating is not as scratch-resistant as the saphire glass.
