I haven't seen this one shown on the Forum yet, so here is the info as posted on FB. I am not sure I care for the orange hands and markers, but it is a stunning BP nevertheless.

The Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Limited Edition 2010 from IWC Schaffhausen is restricted to 250 pieces and available exclusively in selected IWC boutiques. The unmistakable cockpit-style design in this special edition is underscored by the use of striking orange.

Thanks for posting it here on the Forum, Bill as I don't have Facebook account (probably one of the last few who has not taken that step!). I like the BP...but like you don't have an immediate attaraction for the orange hands and markers. Still, it is one I would like to see 'in the metal' to fully appreciate.

I wonder if the sapphire caseback will be available from IWC as a retrofit for the 5004? Though it would alter the magnetic field protection it would look amazing. Fingers crossed!

Thanks Bill, I don't have a facebook account either so this is new info for me.

I wonder if there is a market for a BP Perpetual with antimagnetic properties like on the normal BP. Personally, I would prefer that over the display back.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

I like this one (perhaps not as much as the Bucherer BPPC).
It reminds me of the Sincere LE BP (less the case metal) which I very much like.

    Thanks for sharing Bill.

    Cheers,
    Evan

If IWC wants us to buy this watch, why only publish this news on FB? Maybe, true collectors won't be attracted by this watch? These news only published on FB begin to upset me, to say a few.

We just established an arrangement where I get Facebook posts before they go up by e-mail. But there is a time difference and also for me it's not a full time job (right now I'm on vacation), plus not all "news" need or should be published here --although this model should have been shown here.

With the immediacy of the Internet, Bill beat me on posting this to the News section by a few hours. So I decided not to duplicate the news here. I'm not sure there's an easy answer to that.

I like it -- but Haloween is my favorite time of the year in the U.S. Orange suits me!

Here is your comparison picture so you can decide if orange is your thing.

    Hi Michael!
I have due respect for all you've done and you're doing here for us and I've never thought it is to you to relay those news. I think that if someone at IWC can publish something on FB, this same person can do the same at the same time on this forum, if it is important for IWC, as new models are. Of what I read, there's many forumers here who don't own a FB account, but have contributed to entertain the forum and to create "greed" about IWC, thus resulting in sales for IWC. But I feel a bit "left off" by IWC for the recent lauches of new watches, who appear first (or, worst, only) on FB.

OK, let's talk about watches now, it's more interesting than complain...

    Regards,
    Jean
