I hope the thread subject did not raised false hopes - otherwise I apologize.
I was just wondering if you guys can tell me, if there is a CF watch released
every year or is it just randomly. Also are there any leaks/news/information
on a new CF watch?
Would be awesome if they make a CF Big Pilot (dear IWC: if you read that and
you do it, please count me =)

The answer to your first Q, no there is no annual release of a CF watch.
There are four presently:
CFI: Collectors" Forum Ingenieur: LE of 100
CFDV: Collectors" Forum DaVinci (very few were sold.)
CFP or CF3: Collectors' Forum Pilots Watch. LE 250
CFAT or CF4: Collectors' Forum Aquatimer, the lastest and newsest one. LE 250
What will be the next one and when it will be desinged and released is a guess
at this time, but I suspect
there will be one at somepoint.
About time for a Portuguese fitted with cal. 982?
It will be interesting to see what the next one is going to be.
Given Michael Friedberg's involvement and the nature of the watch, I'd argue
that the Big Pilot "Safari" was what could have been the CF5 (if Michael had
continued as moderator and if Instagram hadn't become the platform of choice
for the entire watch industry). I love my CF3 but the Safari is iconic
perfection. You have to wonder what IWC could possibly come up with to top
that one.
Wait and see, there are already some great ideas... Not for the very near
future, be patient.
