Tonny, some weeks ago you mentioned you were going to approach IWC with an
idea for another Collectors Forum watch? Is there any details or hints you
can give us? Thanks.

Hello Nelson, not much since HQ is still debating over my proposition.
Only thing I can tell so far : we had an Ingenieur, a Da Vinci, a Pilot and
an Aquatimer, so...
Well, let's hope you can 'Ingenieur' another watch for the Forum Collectors!
Nelson
Intruiging............... :o)
Yeah!!! Really looking forward to it!
Cheers,
Sascha
Portofino with a 37mm diamond bezel on a LE run of 500 or a Portuguese Minute
Repeater with toubillon for those who lost out on the indestructable Pilot's
watch schlock absorbers. Just thinking out loud.
Maybe quartz ;)
With an 8 year battery, I hope.
Prefer a Portugieser or a Portofino rather than a Polit…… and so on, since the
two brothers haven't exist for the CF watches so far.
As long as we're daydreaming...
How about a Tribute to 3700? But instead of the "run of the mill" titanium
chronograph with integrated pushers and bracelet, how about a copy of the
model that was created for the Porsche executives that featured a perpetual
chronograph movement like the one in Herr Klaus' Da Vinci?
On the other hand, I would have to answer my wife's questioning of my selling
a car and a kidney to fund it, so...maybe no....
Thanks for indulging the fantasy. Despite my relative absence here, clearly
the 3700 remains my favorite IWC (favorite watch for that matter) of all time!
Love the 3702 and 3704 also, but there's something about the flawed first
model I just obsess over!
With the termination of the cooperation between IWC and Porsche Design, it was
very likely that it was contractually agreed that IWC would not be allowed to
manufacture watches with a design by Porsche Design in the future.
That's why I don't expect any new IWC models in Porsche Design.
Incidentally, in 2010 Porsche Design produced a Heritage Titanium Chrono (PD
Porsche Design Titan Chrono Ref. P6530) limited to 999 pieces in the design of
the IWC Ref. 3704.
My personal opinion on replicas of classics is divided. As a vintage collector
I prefer the originals. Unfortunately many originals are extremely expensive,
which is why I have some replicas.
You could be spot on !
Portugieser might be an option. These watches take time...
