great new release. although, and i'm sure many out there would agree... would have preferred individual specific numbering!

Can anyone tell if this has a "new" dark, dark shade of brown strap not seen before?
Andy
Hmm, the timing couldn't be better - I was just yesterday in the AD enquiring about a new Vintage Ingenieur in WG / Ardoise, but this could be nice . . . .

That's a great looking watch!
Kind regards,

Twin brother of Laureus Inge...
Stunning!!!!
Mark ! I guess all 500 are available for the time being , because I have another IWC on the way ! after which I have resolved to wear blinkers for a while and aim for the PPC ( unless the forum watch comes out ).

As I wrote before, very tempting but something did not fit and now I know:
the "steel" rim on the caseback shows hallmarks...
Correction: I just heard this from Schaffhausen:
"Ing special edition comes with a black strap so the images are wrong".
New images will be posted next week.
oh, really? I thought it looked rather cool in brown leather.
Perhaps everyone buying one would opt for a Santoni upgrade? ;-)
Thanks Michael for the "correction", I think. The deep brown strap looks quite nice. I can imagine it also with some other models as another mix option. Who knows what the future will bring ?
BTW...hope all went well and you had a great holiday. Looks like from the pic's you posted, a river cruise might have been on the itenary.
Andy
Thanks, Andy. I'm not sure how the black strap will look --I also liked the dark brown one!
I was on a cruise starting in Rome and ending in Athens. It was great, but almost without watches ;( My problem is that it doesn't even come close to a Nad-travelogue. But if I find time I'll post a few photos this weekend.
Nice piece.
It looks very nice, but like Alan said, I'll bet it looks a lot different 'in the flesh'. Anyway, I'm liking what I see so far.

Michael,
Agreed...our votes are for the Dark Brown !
You packed two perfect watches for the holiday cruise. In your case, "almost without watches" was probably a healthy thing considering you are exposed to the subject all your waking hours. Anyway... from the few pic's we saw, you really did look relaxed and having fun.
Please do try to find a bit of time this weekend to post your holiday travelogue. We would be happy to see our Forum leader "off the clock".
Best,
Andy
WOW I want that watch NOW!
Very nice
Cheers

Look what I saw in real life today!
Bas: if you want it, I know where you can get one!
Kind regards,
Clemens
I can't believe Clemens scooped me on this! :) I also saw one today, in the Zurich boutique. While it's not really my cup of tea, the brown dial is MUCH more attractive in the metal. It's lighter than the IWC photo makes it appear and almost seems to glow or emit light. Very sharp. And to pick up on earlier comments, it looks very nice on the brown strap. Not sure how I'd like it on black.
I'll post a travelogue after we return home on Monday but for this watch, Clemens' photo is better than mine.
Hi David, I'm sorry I spoiled your scoop but I'm glad I saw the watch in real life. Since the watch is supposed to be on a black strap, I wanted to be sure to have a picture of it on the brown strap. I like it on the brow strap!
Kind regards,
Clemens
I'm glad you got that photo, Clemens. As I wrote earlier, it came out better than mine. I didn't even go to the boutique to see that watch. I wanted to try on a couple of others, one of which was the black dial VC Inge. When I asked for that, the sales woman said, "I have something that I think will interest you." At that point I asked if it was the new brown LE. She was a bit surprised that I knew about it and I admitted to having seen the announcement on the forum.
No need to be sorry about the scoop - reporting is a dog-eat-dog business. :)
I actually viewed this yesterday also here in Singapore. Upon returning home I thought I must be mistaken after reading MF's post on the strap so I abandoned the post. That said, what Clemens shows here is the exact combination here in SG also. I like it.
Brown strap and this dial is a very nice combination actually.
It would seem there is some confusion out there as to what colour the strap is on this watch - the semi official line indicates that the official photos are wrong and the watch will be sold with a black strap however I have seen a few photos out there now from people in an AD / Boutique and they all show a nice brown strap (which everyone seems to like) - is there any further clarification on this?
Gents,
Shing just posted a few very nice shots of the Inge taken in HK Airport IWC also with brown strap...
