F1 racing isn't as popular in the U.S. as Europe, but I must tell you that I've thoroughly enjoyed following the races this season. IWC was either very astute or fortunate to enlist Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg as brand ambassadors. They're come in as first or second in almost all the races, which is incredible, and their jockeying between themselves --being both on the AMG PETRONAS team-- has been interesting.

IWC today announced that they have developed two special edition watches, each limited to 250 pieces. Just days before the Singapore Grand Prix, the two Silver Arrow drivers each unveiled their own personal Ingenieur Chronograph. Also IWC announced today the renewal of its current partnership with the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team.

It's been an awesome F1 season so far. I support Nico so I'm pretty happy with the way things are going. Nice to see them get there own editions.

    Cheers,

Handsome timepieces - can't quiet make out the symbol in the sundial at 6 position. Anyone know what it is?

    Like them both! :)

Especially the backside with the carbon/Titan mix is very tempting..

    Hi Mark,
It is the date in the sub-dial.
The drivers symbols are under a sapphire crystal fitted in to the case backs, like the Top Gun Chronos:

Really like the design of the Hamilton version. But not so much the driver. Mercedes team has been outstanding this year so that's a good partnership for IWC. I remain a Ferrari fan though. :-)

A very nice duo release. Having an affinity towards yellow - I probably prefer the Nico if I had to chose. But again 'one out of 250' on the caseback? A bit of a downer (i.e. no individual numbering).

Very nice watches indeed! I prefer the black dial watch, at least going by the pictures shown. Black fits sporty watches better, and I am not such a fan of colours on a watch, like the yellow on the white dial watch.

Mercedes has a great car this year, after F1 changed the rules about the cars quite a bit when compared to last year. And again, the rules are changed, starting with the GP in Singapore, about the information shared with the drivers. That may be a game changer yet again, but Mercedes will stay in front, I am sure.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

I like them both. I think LH's looks better but being a Nico supporter I would go that way. Given they are limited to 250, I love F1, I love IWC and I'm a fan of Nico, if one is still available when I'm looking at my next pick up I would consider one for sure.

    Cheers,

    Jarrod

    ....I would go for ....
Haha - it´s not the first time I would not be able to decide ;-)
Every piece has it´s own special character ...
Perhaps the first choice would be the Hamilton - better fits to suits, I think. Otherwise it depends on the shirt one is wearing ... so I better go back to my wonderful engraving problem of the CF3 ...
(I´m fortunate that I have this kind of problems only regarding to watches :-)
    Best,
