New Manufakturzentrum visit - what a thrill

On Monday, I was graciously invited to tour the new facility as well as the Museum and the original premises.
I had a phenomenal guide, and I must say, the new place is jaw-droppingly beautiful and so much more impressive than what I read about it in preparation for this trip.
I even got to talk to some of the technicians and watch makers including the gentleman who assembled my "Tribute to Pallweber".
Then, I got to meet "Mr. Constant Force Tourbillon" - THE guy who assembles what is likely the most intricate component of any IWC.
The visit ended with a quick chat with Christopher Grainger-Herr who is a very pleasant and insightful man.

WOW! Great pics and thanks for sharing. I had heard that there are only two to three watchmakers who are assigned to work on the constant force tourbillon due to the complexity.

Thanks for your report, great to see! Been there almost a year ago when it was still a complete construction site..... impressive job to turn that into a dust free (!) production facility.

You are a very fortunate couple!  My love of IWC is growing and can not wait for the day I visit the new manufacturing plant!
