    Hi guys,

I was just reading the 2008 catalogue from IWC, and think the new in house 89222 is very VERY nice.

I'm a Pilot's Watch man and just saw the potential context between the fairly larger "watch in watch" dial at 12 o'clock from the da vinci, and the larger design of the black 12 o'clock dial from the Pilot's Watch doppel to the german football team.

I don't have any pictures, but if some of you could put them beside eachother visually I think it may be more clear what I'm talking about.

Have anyone heard of a possible shift of the IWC chrono soon, or am I just seeing ghosts ?

New Chrono 89360 is eagerly awaited by me too

It seems totally unfeasible to me that IWC will do nothing more with this fabulous calibre outside the Da Vinci Chrono. Your suggestion for a Pilot's watch didn't occur to me until now, but that would be very interesting indeed. I myself wait for a new Portuguese Chrono, although I understand that that watch may not come soon. The other option is to combine it with the Perpetual Calendar module, making the Chrono Perpetual Calendar a 100% in house movement. That may take some time too when you consider that this year there was a steel Da Vinci Kurt Claus, limited to 3000 watches, which may not be sold within a year. Well, let's wait and see, and fantasize for just two more months.

    Kind regards,
    Paul, wearing VC Portuguese

    Sounds interesting

    Hi Paul,

This movement in the Portuguese Chrono is a great idea! It has multiple benefits: it will add a 12-hour chrono to the now only 30 minutes and it also adds the date function!

I do think it will look a bit more 'busy' though but we just have to wait and see.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

    please don't assume anything....

...I don't want Internet speculation to become Internet rumor which then develops a life --and semi-validity-- of its own.
