I bought my MKXII Pt secondhand and stored the used but usable original blue leather strap. I replaced it with a nice brown Hirsch strap.
I'd like to change the strap to something else. All ideas/suggestions are welcome...

Platinum is a very luxurious metal, and quite rare, certainly on a tool watch like a pilot's watch. As such, a luxurious strap is called for, and an alligator strap is quite fitting in this respect. I like the Hirsch strap that you showed, and the decent brown of the strap and the apparently dark blue of the dial make for a nice and tasteful contrast. So, I would keep it as it is for a while. Have fun with it!
Kind regards,
Paul
Looks nice I think. Good combo.
exquisite beautiful watch with an excellent movement...
new strap??...well, the other Schaffhausen-based manufacturer just released a variant of their perpetual calendar line with a so called funky blue dial...this watch comes with a kudu strap...sure you can google and find it...
if you could get one, might work quite nice with your blue dial...

I know of a custom strap maker that may have some interesting options. Email me if you are interested.
