    Hi there,

It was my birthday last Saturday and one of the presents was a new strap for my Spitfire UTC! Here are some pictures of the new combination, I am personally very pleased with it.

The strap looks great. I always liked a pilots watch on that type and color strap.
    Thanks for posting.

Once again, hope you had a great birthday.
    Regards,
    Kevin

    Clemens,

Me Like ! Is that the IWC OEM spitfire strap from a couple of years ago or a after market?

Thank you all and Andy, it's an IWC OEM strap indeed. It's a tad darker than I expected but it's looking great indeed!

I now have this OEM brown croco, an aftermarked black croco (thanks again to Norbert) and an aftermarket brown buffalo strap for this watch. I think that's enough for now, unless I want to go put something like a NATO strap on it.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

Happy Birthday again Clemens - I have a weakness for the black dial, ?green-ish numerals version. In my opinion the 24-hour wheel UTC still makes for the most convenient GMT watch. Enjoy your lovely piece !

Hi, happy belated birthday. The brown strap really suits the silver dial nicely. Have you ever considered adding a deployant buckle?

    Hello Juju,

I have tried that on my St Ex Chrono but it didn't feel comfortable with the regular type of strap. I guess it's the same for the Spitfire UTC so I just stick to the pin buckle.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

Pin buckle plus three straps and Clemens is saying enough and then there is the suggestion of deployant buckle!!

Belated Happy Birthday Clemens ! Every time I see the older spitfire series I get that wistful feeling. I also love the spitfire chrono in my collection which has the original strap like yours with pin & buckle.
