Dear (future) IWC friends,
I am looking forward to soon joining the community and own my first IWC watch. I have been looking at different models for a while now. I finally went to an IWC retailer today, I have to say I was very impressed. They all look so amazing, and also so much better than on any picture! Of course every collection is beautiful, but for my taste I like the design of the Spitfire Mark XVI the most (325502). Simple and yet so elegant. Perfect for both everyday use or with a suit. I find that silver-plated dial amazingly done, and I couldn't take my eyes off it. Yes, I could see it on my wrist for many years!
Now I have a hard time understanding what will happen to this specific model with the new Pilot series coming soon. Is it considered as a Spitfire or a Mark XVII? If there is a Spitfire version of the upcoming Mark XVII, looking the exact same but slightly bigger (41mm I believe) then this will be the perfect watch and perfect size for me, and I'll soon be a happy IWC owner. If it is discontinued, then I should maybe get the current Mark XVI version, which unfortunately looks a bit too small on my wrist.
Thanks for your input.
Kind regards to all.
Vincent
