Yesterday morning, I took my car for an alternative expedition.
A travel to get something I always wanted.
After a ride to a regional airport in Belgium, I took the plane to Bergamo, Italy, to meet
a friend collector. He knew what I was looking for and found the watch for me.

Once arrived in Bergamo, we found out that the airport wasn’t the best place to sit in a
discrete place to hand over the watch and cash. So we went to the nearby shopping mall,
the largest in Italy, full with fashion and beautiful Italian young ladies , but as MF would say, this is off topic, so sorry no pictures and no further comment, only by private mail ,))

Then I got my Jubilee, there it was, never worn, new and so beautiful...
After some shopping for Sabine and Lore, I turned back home, a proud owner of one of
The prettiest watches IWC has ever made.

I know, I am not a member of a nobel family, nor an adventurist, nor I can sale, but for sure my trip was as much fun as David de Rothschild will have with the Plastiki.
I am happy that his effort will compensate for my ecological footprint to get my watch.
    Thanks for reading.

    Fantastic and almost incredible

How can anybody buy such a watch and never wear it? Quite a find, this process must be equally special: if somebody tipped you off, he must be quite a remarkable man not to want it for himself. Enjoy the beauty, I am sure YOU will wear it.

    Kind regards,
Paul, wearing steel VC Pilot's watch

    Fantastic Tonny!

Another great addition to your wonderful collection. You are correct- IMHO it is "the prettiest watch" ever to come from Schaffhausen.

Sounds like: "Veni, vidi, vici" >

Something closer to a blitzkrieg action rather than an adventure!

But it was worth I believe.

Congratulations Tonny! One of the most beautiful ever made, it really is.

    Awesome Tonny!

    Comgrats. What an adventure!

Again off topic, but at our age, and with our love of watches, finding the elusive holy grail of IWC's, the Jubilee, is indeed a milestone and a very, very special feeling and moment in life. Kind of feels like your first time, if you know what I mean!

My favorite brand, my favorite family of IWC's, my favorite among the Portuguese line and my favorite metal among the 3 awesome Jubilee's.

Treasure it always, as I treasure my Jubilee and soon my Jubilee set!

    All the best,

    Rob
