Very happy with this classic Portuguese 371431.
I hope this purchase will make me stop this very expensive habbit of "just checking the net..."

Excellent choice. Is it your first IWC or just a spreading of the IWC uhren-virus?

We all said that at one time or another and then there was the IWC we just had to have! LOL

Good Luck and wear your first (but surely not your last)IWC in good health.

Right, that's what I said before seeing the 46mm Portofino VT Moonphase. One of those will nicely complement your Portuguese.

In any case case, congrats. And a very nice strap color choice.

Congratulations, that's a beautiful watch as your first IWC. Enjoy and wear it in good health.

You do know that in no time at all you realize that you need an Aquatimer for around the pool, an Ingenieur for your technical ordeals, a Pilot's watch because they are so cool, a Portofino because they are so classy and a Da Vinci because of the history? :-)

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

Stunning pic's of the 3714. Love that variation and strap pairing . Was this bought NOS ? Didn't think it was still available.

That's a beautiful choice for a first IWC. The color combination of ardoise dial and brown strap is one of my favorites in the entire IWC line.

    Enjoy!

Agree with you, too bad the combination only comes in white gold.
