    as I am preparing for a short trip to Italy, these were my ideas about the topic.
    Not perfected yet and no rarities to see but I am proud of these two...

    Tom, nice pics and theme. I guess you like those Italian chariots - but would suggest you keep to the ones with rubber wheels, if taking your IWC's for a spin.

    My advise keep that beautiful classic vintage piece in the great shape it's in and wear the Pilot with that super comfortable bracelet to handle the hot spring days already in Italy.

    I like them both, by the way :~)

    Indeed, I concur about the spirit.

    I recently read an article in a Malaysian publication interviewing Christian Knoop, IWC's associate director of the design center. In it, he said that the Portofino line really had its genesis in the classic watch designs from the 1950s.
