Thank you Bill, and thank you Gullik, for your patience. I tried right clickin etc but no effect so far.
I will have to surrender and use fotobucket ......

Shame, this is such a pleasent and highly informational forum and i have learned so much here. You would think an Url is Url ... and i understand iwc does not want to build a large Terra bite server. But if you have a look at the hour lounge by vacheron, its pretty nice, easy to use and good pic archive and no problem up loading

I`m on a roll now !!! Prepare for more ......

I may be slow with the modern digital features of today`s world, hence the name ... , but as a analog/mechanical person i learnt :
Thou shalt not forsake , and usualy i get there anyway.

Look at this beauty shine, if only she grew a few mm`s it would for sure e around my wrist. Love those blued hour and minute hands on the Italian versions.

    Hi Gentlemen,

I hope to revive this thread because I am becoming obsessed with rectangular
watches and am after the IWC, REF. 3545, NOVECENTO. I was hoping to get more
literature and market on it and am hard pressed to find any after a couple of
hours on the interweb. Anything will help!

    Some infos on the Novecento:

Ref.3545 was equipped with a Piguet caliber. My local watchmaker told me that
they had quite a lot of repairs with the piquet caliber, especially when the
watch was wound too fast, the stem to the crown could break easily.

Ref. 3546 was equipped with a Jaeger LeCoultre caliber, replacing the Piguet
Caliber. Piguet and JLC version can be easily differentiated as the JLC
caliber was thicker as the Piguet caliber, resulting in a case-back with a
"belly" (the Piguet case-back was a flat metal plate).

For both versions (above) the dial was available in 4 languages.

I remember that there was a limited verion in red gold for the italian market
only, but I don't know whether it was the Piguet or JLC version.

The Novecento is one of my favourite IWC vintage watches due to the
rectangular case, although for todays tastes it is quite a small watch.

Thank you for the information. That is a bit disheartening to hear re: 3545.
Are the potential headaches worth the ownership???

    @ HKS724:

Ref. 3545 is not a bad watch, but should be handled with care when winding.

I personally would search for a ref. 3546 with the JLC caliber. The watch was
also manufactured in yellow gold and due to my experience the price for a
vintage 3546 does not differ noticeably to the prize of a 3545.

I owned the ref. 3545 first and had no issue. But when I got the chance to buy
    the 3546 I switched.

Thank you! Did IWC make this 3546 in platinum with bracelet? I am looking for
    this specific configuration.

I think the mov.of the Italien version (125 pieces) was a Piguet.

Here a photo of the Novecento Italien dial in my collection.

    Hi there.

The Novecento was introduced in 1987.

I have little information regarding this watch, and especially the one you are
    especially asking about .

In front of me I have a catalogue from 1999 in which this watch was still
    listed.

Ref 3546 as yellow gold with brown alligator (chf 19750)

Ref 9237 as yellow gold with yellow gold bracelet (chf 31000)

Ref 3546 as platinum with black alligator (chf 32750)

Ref 9237 as platinum with platinum bracelet (chf 75000)

These were all the perpetual calendar references with their prices as per May
    1999 in catalogue.

    Hoped it helped a little.
