for me. Anyone else still having this problem? Is it because I use a MacIntosh computer? Once I am (finally) on the forum, things are fast within each thread, but again painfully slow when going to another thread.
Help and tips appreciated from anybody!!

Slow is hardly the word >>>

and yes, it happens on my Mac only, not my PC. Schaffhausen fixed a similar issue with PC's recently. Before that fix my Mac was fine. After the fix, the problems started with my Mac Book Pro running Safari.

My experience is 90 seconds to get to the first post, 90 seconds to post a reply and 90 seconds to go to another thread.

I am posting less and coming to the forum fewer times per day as a result.

    Schaffhausen, please help.

    Bill

I was havig problems before the

"fix" but it got much much better for me after that and has been fine since. I use windows XP and IE

Obviously this issue is system and/or browser dependent and fixing it for one seems to have a negative impact on others.

The worst possible issue is that Bill or others won't come here as often as they did. We know you're busy Schaffhausen, but please don't let this happen!

It sure is sloooow using Safari on a Mac...

...but it runs a lot better when using Firefox on Windows.
It sounds like it may be a browser specific problem.
I hope the new site will address this.

    Cheers,
    Evan

    Different problems here..

The speed is not the issue (Firefox 3.5.8 on Vista Business) but I am seeing a lot of strange symbols instead of accents and quotes. This doesn't happen in Internet Explorer, which makes it very strange.

Luckily, there are not too much accents used in the English forum but the German forum is impossible to read this way in Firefox.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens
