If you've been waiting for the rare occurrence that only happens once in a blue moon, you'll get your chance this month.
When two full moons occur within a calendar month, the second full moon is called a blue moon. (Although it is not necessarily blue.)
The first full moon of this month was on August 1st, and the second, the blue moon, appears on August 31st. So look for that rare event that happens only once in a blue moon.

Well, since it doesn't happened that often shouldn't we ask all the PPC,BPPC,DVPC and all the other PCs owners to post a photo of this event? Wish I had one and then I could start it, but not to be this year. So, how about it? I remember we had a BP tread that went on for some time this could be very interesting.

I drove from Rotterdam back home this evening and suddenly when I looked out my right window, I saw a wonderful full moon. Too bad I couldn't stop to take a picture.
I just came home and the moon isn't visible from here so all I have to offer is this wrist shot of the first full moon this month:
I will see if I can take a picture of the second full moon later this month.

Thang, whilst a painfull reminder' take solace in the fact theres another forumer out there, who actually let a genuine original Ref. 5021-21 pass not once but 2x. That watch only comes past once in a blue moon, and imagine how "blue" he is going to feel come the next blue moon at the end of this month!

Back from the holidays, here is a picture of the 'blue moon' of August 2012. Since it was the last day of the holidays with a long drive home the next day, I didn't have much time to prepare the picture.
Since we had to get up early too, we went to sleep quite early so I missed the date change from August to September.
