I recently worked with a friend to chose a new watch for his collection. He has several watches, but no IWC's. After a few days of back and forth discussions, he made his decision and ordered his first IWC (not likely his last). It arrived yesterday and he sent me a picture of his new addition with a very kind note for talking him into it.

One of life's pleasures is passing on the IWC Uhren-virus.

That is a watch we don't see enough on this Forum. I like it. A sort of combination Portofino and chrono pilot. Good job!

Well done Bill in your informal IWC ambassadorial role. I very much like this model too.

Well done Bill, hope you negotiated commission or a discount on your next purchase! LOL! That's why I own 4 IWCs, this forum encourages you to find your next model. God knows what going shopping with Shing Nad and some others would be like, blooming expensive I suspect!

Your friend gained a great new watch and your friendship can only grow from strength to strength Bill. That's what friends are for - standing-by with good solid advise.

That watch is an absolute beauty and he will be smitten before you know it, with the IWC Uhren-virus.
