A few months ago there was a super post here on the forum about travel boxes for single watches being supplied with watches in addition or in place of the typical box that ends up in a cupboard and has no use (apart for collectors). Earlier last week I was surpirsed to see this IWC watch box (for one watch) advertised and bought it immediately. It is perfect - for a two watch or three watch traveller. ie. one or two on the wrist(s) and one in the box. (The Jubilee was not supplied with the box - but added to show clarity of dimensions). Enjoy, Andrew

I would much prefer this travel...

box to the useless box most watches come with. Or how about providing it as a supplement when you register your watch after purchase.

    Too late!

If I had known, I would not have bought a neutral travel box one month ago.
Nevertheless could you offer the article no. of the box, Andrew?
    Thank you.

    Very nice indeed!

This box has a perfect size, also for bigger watches. I wonder whether this is the first one of a small series, and that soon also a new box comes available for three watches, having the same quality as the box shown. I have the box for three smaller watches, that I used this summer for my Portuguese Perpetual Calendar, my Saint Exupéry Chrono and my small Portuguese Automatic. With a bit of bending it still was quite allright, but a bit bigger would be better.

    Kind regards,
    Paul, wearing VC Portuguese

I received one of those recently.

I had a watch come back from warranty service from the NYC IWC service center. It was returned in an identical box.

It is a simple synthetic material, not as fancy as the boxes that come with new watches but very useful, I agree.

I think you are on to something. Did anyone determine if these are available for order?

I got two boxes for free today!

I met my AD today and he told me that IWC (at least in Switzerland) is using those boxes to send back wtaches after revisions.
My AD also told me that he will hand out such a box whenever someone is buying an IWC watch as the request from customers for travel boxes is increasing.
So try your chance and ask your AD!

    Different concept, why not?

Instead of one box for three watches you can of course also have three boxes for one watch each. It spreads the risk too: why put all the eggs in one basket?

    Kind regards,
    Paul, wearing Saint Exupéry Chrono

    These are "post-revision" boxes

and so far dont have an IWA number. Stz's post is the same info I have so I expect that many of them will be around in the auction sites very soon - and of course available from IWC AD's (especially in Switzerland) hopefully all over the world soon.
