    The dial appears to be....

"original", that is, not repainted. And by the way, a very attractive dial. The movement appears to be an authentic cal. 87. But the combination is at very least highly unusual. I've never seen a cal. 87 tonneau shaped movement in a round case.

So, while I'm from the "never say never" school, there is a high likelihood that this combination did not leave the factory together, and is a marriage. Only a check of the archives can confirm that with certainty.

    Regards,

    David

    Two ways to inquire....

The first, you have already done: check with the collective knowledge and wisdom of this forum. So far, it doesn't seem that anyone has seen such a combination before.

Second, you can request an Extract from the Archives from IWC. This will tell you whether this particular combination of case and movement numbers left the factory together.

Good luck. And again, aesthetically, it is a very nice looking watch.

    Regards,

    David
