IWC Schaffhausen pays tribute to the great flying skills of the Patrouille Suisse with a special edition. As Swiss ambassadors in the sky the pilots of the jet aerobatic team inspire an audience of millions throughout Europe with their precise formation flying.

The watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen, which produces pilot's watches since 1936 dedicates the Pilot's Watch Chronograph Edition Patrouille Suisse to the acrobats of the Swiss Air Force. The model is limited to 300 pieces and will be available exclusively at Swiss retailers

Highlight of this special edition is the unique sandblasted stainless steel case in beamless grey.

I love it - just like I do the 371701 model. A must have and my AD already got my request. I really womder what it will look like om my wrist.

The pale but evident contrast between the carrure and the pushers and crown is simply delightful.

Very nice watch. The picture of the back is a bit special, the back looks concave to me, which cannot be true, as the movement has to fit in.

Is the Pilot's Chrono about as successful as the Portuguese Chrono? That watch has seen more versions than any other watch. Sometimes special versions are the last flurry of a model, wringing out the last possibilities of selling the model. But the Portuguese Chrono stayed, due to its continuing success. I wonder whether we will see a new Pilot's Chrono next year, or that this current model stays too.

IWC Schaffhausen, I have to give you 100% on this Pilot's Watch.

All aspects of this watch blend perfectly.

I especially like the black hands on the charcoal grey dial. Nice strap too.

A unique watch, on its own and a great addition to the splendid pilot collection IWC is producing. It would be interesting to see the sandblasted case.

A SPECIAL EDITION MARK XII YOU MOST LIKELY HAVEN'T SEEN BEFORE

The first special watch for the Patrouille Swisse was made 1994. It was a special edition of the Mark XII.
Comparing the pictures you can see what different way IWC has gone nowadays.
I think the pictures talk for themselves! Therefore I will refrain from judging the new watch . . . only ONE thing. The litte red airplane on the sweep hand . . . brrrrrh
