    Hi there,

Unfortunately, the light was fading rapidly so I had just a few minutes. From a dozen of pictures, this one was the best. I also used it for the closeup.

I really like the red accents on the dial. With better light, I hope to capture the blue of the hands and numerals but that's for another day.

I had to get the ISO up to 640 and a shutter speed of 1/8 of a second. Not ideal as you can see in the closeup, that starts to get noisy already.

I am seriously considering a Macro lens, something like the Canon EF-S 60 mm.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

I was thinking earlier today how I might entice you to post more shots of the Pisa Pertpetual...and here they appear! Keep posting pics, Clemens. I just don't get tired at looking at this beautiful watch!!!

    Clemons,

I'm considered fairly new to the world of IWC ( couple of years ). Honestly, that is one of the most impressive models I've seen yet. Never saw a Pisa Perp. before.... Absolutely stunning !!

When viewing the closeup, it appears that the hour markers look like they are "cut-out". Is this true ?

    In Awe,

    Andy

Thank you all for the compliments!

@Larry: The back is the same as the normal Portuguese Perpetuals, I will try to get some pictures.

@Andy: The numerals are 'Embossed'. On the later versions of the Portuguese Perpetuals, they became applied (appliqué).

More pictures will follow as soon as I find some time :-)

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

Here is a picture of the movement:

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IW502117/502117_rear.jpg

And a picture of the embossed numerals on the dial:

The blue on the numerals is very hard to capture, but I don't give up. Maybe they will show their color better next time!

    Kind regards,

    Clemens
