    Dear fellow IWC fans

I finally managed to get my hands on and purchase the (unfortunately) now discontinued IWC Portugieser Automatic in White-Gold, IW500106. Upon closer inspection I noticed that though the watch's back one can clearly see plastic parts (highlighted in the enclosed picture).

To say that I was "very surprised" is an underestimation and I was wondering if this can be found on any IW500106 as I have not seen something similar on any other watch model with this price tag.

Your thoughts and advice is highly appreciated!

That's no plastic, these parts are ceramic! Enjoy your beautiful Portuguese and wear it in good health.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

Oh gosh, I feel really bad now... My experience with watches is rather limited and while I appreciate the pretty looks (sorry...) of a movement, I never went beyond this point. I think it is time for a change.

Clemens, thank you very very much!
