As stated earlier, I wanted to get a macro lens for some time now. Since Canon has a nice cash back action here in NL, it was the right time to strike!
The lens I got is the Canon EFS 60 mm Macro and I have started playing with it a bit. The one thing I noticed immediately is that it needs plenty of light, using it with artificial light isn't ideal but fortunately, some corrections can be done with the proper editing tools.
Here are a few shots I took, I will certainly need some time to get used to this new way of taking pictures!

Experiment with artificial light. I had to correct the colors substantially since the Auto WB mode made the picture too brown and the TL WB mode made it too harsh:
I finally got it right by manually adjusting the white balance for black, white and grey.

PS: I will have to clean the watches better before taking pictures too as you can see everything now :-)
