Sorry I can't tell you what model this one is, but I'll just say the lugs have a nice and interesting shape to them.
Also, it is interesting to see the stainless caseback and the gold (or gold plated) case, although that is sometimes seen with IWC.

Your watch is either a Cal 83 or Cal 88.
Without seeing the movement, and serial number in the caseback, I cannot tell you more.
Cal 83 was made 1930 - 1947
Cal 88 was made 1946 - 1964
Hello Nelson & Mark thanks for the reply and information.
I found the serial number at the caseback.
Might be the number: 1268473
Other number on the watch itself: 473
Hope this will work out.
Thanks in advance.
Have a nice weekend.

I know, needs a restoration and a clean up.
Hi Karel
Well, I stand corrected, it is neither Cal 83 nor 88.
I am not familiar with this movement at all.
The caseback serial dates the watch to 1953.
Are you able to read the movement number between the plates?
It is right there at the pointer of the regulator. This will aid in identifying the Caliber.
Hi
It appears to be a cal 70. IWC manufatured 4,800 cal 70 in 1945/46. It is the first time i see one.
Any help with this one g
ys ? Can anyone identify this :
This one is beyond help. It is as fake as an $8 bill.
Hello Mark,
Thanks for helping me out.
The movementnumber is 1100852.
Clepsydra thinks its a cal 70. 1945/1946.
Kind Regards,
Karel de Vries
Hi again
Movement #1100852 is indeed a cal 70 from 1945.
Hello Clepsydra,
Thanks! is it still the cal 70. with the movementnumber: 1100852?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Karel de Vries
Hello Clepsydra,
Thank you very much!
Now i finally know what i have.
Last but not least, do you know where i can find good information about the cal 70.
I can´t seem to find it. Not even sales (so i dont even know what its worth).
Always nice to know.
Kind regards,
Karel de Vries
Hi again

Nicely done Tony, you certainly nailed that one.
I tried looking up Cal 73 due to the movement inscription, but could find a match.
Well done sir :o)
Karel, you have something unusual indeed.
Hi there,
Thanks Mark & Tony for your effort and results!
I really appreciate it.
Have a nice weekend.
Kind regards,
Karel de Vries
Hi There,
Yeah, still having a few questions.
1. What will the cost be of restauration by IWC (just indication).
2. What is this watch worth (without certificate) and with or without restauration (just indication).
Sorry to bother you again.
Kind regards,
Karel de Vries
Your watch does not need restoration. IMO, the case and dial should remain as they are. The movement will most likely need to be cleaned and oiled, which I recommend if you intend wearing it and use it to measure time. Assuming that all parts are in working order, any good watchmaker should be able to do that.
IWC's Certicate of Authenticity would be much too expensive for that watch, probably 1/5 of its market value. Just my $.02.
