    Greetings,

I appreciate everyone's participation here, and understand that for many of us the "gang" is almost like family --we like to share watch (and sometimes non-watch) activities. And I also appreciate that there are many fine watches out there. I personally must have owned around two dozen brands.

But --here, on this forum, it's a forum about IWC. It's not a general watch forum. It is paid for by IWC and supported by IWC. People generally come here to learn about IWC and to express their opinions about IWC.

Lately, there have been posts about other brands. I just removed 15 of them, wherein one enthusiastic collector posted about his latest acquisition, and had a guessing game so that people could figure out what he had. I am happy for him --if he's excited about this watch, that's great.

But, really, we have to keep this forum about IWC. I know, IWC has sister brands, there are other diving watches, there are other technical innovations, etc., etc., all produced by many watch companies at many price points. But it's a little like being invited to someone's house for dinner, and talking about how a different wine chosen at another person's house is better. It might be, but we're guests here ---on IWC's forum.

    Thank you for your consideration,
    Michael
P.S. If you have comments or questions about this, kindly e-mail me rather than posting. I really want to keep discussions on this forum about IWC watches, and not procedural matters, Thanks again.
