Your problem is not only that the back black gear won’t move,
Your problem is you have a FAKE watch

There are 3 possible great moves you can make : first, compare your watch to the watches you can see on our website, under watches, Portugieser.
Second, buy the seller, not the watch... if you don't trust the seller, walk away.
Third, go to an authorised dealer and let him inspect the watch.
These 3 moves you can make them at random, it will help you.

We have seen so many of these posts, is it a fake, that the comments here will likely just say yes or no, but not give any reason why we suspect so.  There is nothing to gain by giving the fakers a clue on what to fix.

Hello Jinnie and welcome to the forum. The little black gear you see is actually part of the Pellaton winding system and is the ratchet gear that winds the mainspring. You can see it in action in this video here:

    sketchfab.com/models/3cefd2f66e6045ac961aa2636d5366c3

As it is wound very slowly by the little black winding pawls it would be very hard to actually see this ratchet gear in motion. Enjoy your watch, it certainly appears to be a genuine IWC to me.

[]The pictures are poor quality. If the pictures already look like a fake, how can someone assume, it's not a fake watch? The flashlight reflection makes it impossible to tell anything seriously about the watch.
    [
]How can you buy a watch in the 5 digits $ range without being sure, it's not a fake? We have these postings so often here from people who never posted here, telling: Just found this watch somewhere, is it real? Sorry, but that does neither sound serious nor trustworthy. If the story seems untrue, the watch probably is too.
[]Even if the watch is not a fake, it can be a fraud because if you look at my number 2. maybe you bought it so cheap that you just find it normal to buy it like this. And then very often it's a stolen watch that is to be verified here in the forum. And believe me, when we hear about stolen watches here, we're the last ones to support this in any way. The opposite: We get very angry about that.
    [
]If a deal is too good to be true, it most probably isn't.

The ceramic winding wheel and pawls do not look right to me.
Perhaps it’s the poor picture quality, but There are details that concern me.

Greetings, I love this site.  I have had this watch for years.  I bought it from a friend, I didn't pay much, however, I have always had a concern for/site_media/ckeditor_images/a089ab87d835d98235afd1bb90f6ad20.jpg its authenticity?  Can anyone look at these two pics to see if it is real or not?/site_media/ckeditor_images/2699b281c298f1351d0f8c7c048eeb8a.jpg

You should ask your friend about it. If it were my friend, he wouldn't be anymore.
But at least possibility is, that something in this watch is moving.
