Does anyone have proof in the form of a watch or an advertisement that the
first 500 Titan chronographs sold had an E-prefix and a three digit number
    corresponding to the sequence?

It was suggested in an old thread that the E-prefix was used for European
deliveries? I have only seen examples with an A-prefix, which I believe were
engraved on the casebacks above the watch's serial number by the American
agent Tourneau in New York in 1981. An advertisement for the watch from
Tourneau shows the first 500 would be engraved with the sequence number, and I
have a couple examples of the Titan that have the A-prefix engraved on them.

I believe the E-prefix never existed. Can anyone prove (or strongly suggest)
that I am mistaken? And would anyone know the circumstances surrounding the
E-prefix if indeed it exists? For example, was it offered through one
particular retailer in a specific market?

I know these old Titans have a few admirers, and the history of variations is
likely lost, but I thought I would give it a shot. Be thankful I am spacing my
endless Titan chronograph inquiries one at a time over several months!
