Given this very special Year of the Portofino 2011, and with stock hitting collectors and appreciators these few months, any wrist shots of the new Portofinos ? here's one.

i can't get over how well the milanese metal mesh fit around the wrist! i'm really hoping the portofino peter lindbergh photo exhibit will tour to other places in the world also, after culver city in los angeles and whatnot.
For the third year in a row I will soon be heading south and drive past Portofino. The watches are all in the bank safe leaving me with the Pilots chrono Patrouille Suiise as my holiday watch for the first time.
I wonder if I will pop into Potoffino town for an ice cream this time when heading South. The last two times driving North I was also tempted but it just didnt happen. This time my drive North will not pass Portofino so only one chance this time.
Shing - you have to admit it...that Milanese bracelet, with its fine adjustment capabilities is both stunning to look at and fantastic to wear.
Andrew, great watch for a vacation wear.....but, do they allow non Portofino's into town? I say give it a try, at best you get some ice cream, at worst they run you out of town - LOL.
Best regards
Mark

Mark - agreed. For a non VC piece, I think this new series is about as classic as simplicity comes.
Andrew - enjoy Portofino / ice cream / dolphins even - apparently I read somewhere it was named "Port of the Dolphins" by the romans in ancient times.
