I've recently spotted a beautiful portugieser 371404 "reverse panda" in a small shop. I am not sure wheather the watch is a fake or a genuine iwc. Specifically, I've noticed that the number 7 has a different font from the photos I find online, see the picture below. Any advise?

First of all, it's not easy to tell from your photo.
However, if in doubt, DON'T!!!!!!
It is always advisable to buy either directly from a Boutique or AD to insure authentication. Otherwise, "buy the seller, not the watch" and only deal with a trusted and known seller.
