Portugieser Blue Dial - "Sunburst"?

Hi All, first post.

I've become enamored with the Portugieser Automatic with blue dial (5007-10). Have not seen one in person yet, but I have a question about the dial. Most articles state that it has a 'sunburst' design, and indeed all stock photos have this bright 'area' going from between 10-11 to between 4-5.

But every 'real' picture of the watch that I've seen doesn't appear to show any special effect on the dial, just a pleasing, solid, medium blue.

Both scenarios could just be angle and lighting, hard to tell.

Could someone who's seen this watch in person advise whether the dial has some type of 'burst' effect, or not?

Hi Howard, I did see it recently in Zurich and it definitely has a lovely sunburst dial! As always with these dials, it's most clearly visible in bright (sun)light.

It's a fantastic watch, so go for it ;-)
