    Hi all,

as an engineer I am a fan of IWC for many years. One of my favourites of all is the Portugieser Ratrappante. Since I bought my first one in steel in the late 90s I was able to get one in Platinum, one in Red Gold with the dark dial and one in Red Gold with the silver dial. Now I wonder what other variants have been produced that I have to look for to complete my little collection? Which ones have been limited production like my Platinum which is 001/250 :)

    Thanks for all info!

    Matthias

    Hi Matthias,

There were several other Limited Editions.

For example a white gold version with 100 watches and Steel version called Tribute to Italy with 300 pieces.

    Greetings Martin

A longtime forumer has made a list of limited edition Portugiese models , gregsteer.net , including the 3712 Rattrapante. There are several Dealer editions, Barozzi and Cortina , and an edition for Japan with a see through caseback. Also a white gold with blued numerals wich is very rare.
If you search above next to the magnifying glass you can find a lot of information.
It is a watch i really like too, one of the very few dress watch chronograph out there with rattrapante developed by IWC.

Thanks a lot for your info. I had a look on gregsteer.net and it is very interesting and a great work, yet obviously not 100% complete. I will keep searching:)
