I think this might be the ultimate Yacht Club Chrono --titanium case and carbon fibre dial make this s special model, aside from it being representative of a very special event. Besides, I'll bet now that the Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing Team will win the race.

So Titanium is back with a vengeance.
The watch looks awesome. Probably the definitive sports watch from IWC.
Hope to see this metal more often.

I like this version very much. And, three strikes and you're in? That is, on the titanium, after the Da Vinci Chrono and the Ingenieur Chrono.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

If I weren't holding off to make a decision on what may be coming with the new Pilots line, I would jump on this one right now. Too many great options right now.

Not sure what you mean. To my knowledge there never was a titanium Da Vinci chrono. The new Ingenieur Dopplechrono in titanium has been very well received.

Well, maybe 2,5 instead of 3: the ceramic Da Vinci chrono has some substantial titanium on it.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

I certainly look forward to seeing this on my wrist. Is it really confirmed to be titanium with carbon dial ! Wow !

What are the significances of the different colors - red and blue on the dial. I presume to deal with some of the timing elements in a yacht race ?

Really good looking watch that pulls out the potentiality and the deepest nature of this watch, being essentially a sport-watch.

This gives me hope to see a ref. 3714 with 89361 inside.

No Paul, it's three strikes you're out! Ask the Rangers LOL

I agree with you about a 3714/98361 combination: who knows. The dressy Portofino Chrono shows the potential of a modern dressy chronograph. One step up and, well, let's hope.

About the "in": I guessed someone might react. I knew about the "out" but modified the saying to express my feeling that titanium definitely is back to IWC, which is so great, giving sporty watches that extra touch, along with it being tough and light.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

Carbon Fiber dial with titanium casing, my favorite combo! Great! Too bad I probably won't be able to afford it.

I wonder how it would look with a blak leather strap.

Must be a well sought-after by Shing and SCFong, I bet!

Hope it will be a regular special model, but not a limited model?

In that case, let's not forget the TopGun series.

This is definitely a great looking watch. Will like to try this once they hit the boutiques.
