Hello, I'm a new member and very happy to be a part of the IWC community. I just received my new Portugueser Annual Calendar in steel with the silver dial and could not be happier! It sits perfectly and although it is somewhat heavy it feels incredibly well balanced. I have noticed that some people do not think the words "annual calendar" need to be on the watch but I actually disagree-I have seen many calendar watches that need adjusting every month and I think that is the reason the words are on this watch so it differentiates this from the less complicated ones. I'm looking very forward to following the various articles on the forum-cheers!

Great picture Jean-Luc, I remember you wearing it at the Collector's meeting last October. It's such a beautiful watch.

Hopefully Glickbo can upload pictures soon.

just curious-can the watch be overwound? im at the max on the power reserve is there any risk of continuing to wear it or should i give it a rest for the power reserve to come down?

Congratulations. Very nice annual cal. You cannot over-wind that watch. It has a clutch on the winding mechanism that prevents it from over wind. You can wear it as often as you wish.
