    Hi there,

I recently bought something that will probably reduce my watch budget. It does bring great joy though and I even started looking for something IWC-related to this. The first major overhaul for the 100.000 km service was a bit more expensive than expected but who knows what happens?

So, here is the reason for this story, my Porsche Boxster 3.2S from the year 2000 with just 100.000 km on the clock.

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/Boxster/20160106_Boxster.jpg

The Boxster has always been on my wish list but the Porsche virus (might be related to the IWC virus?) was transferred by a colleague who showed up with a 911 Carrera! So now we can park side by side. We even have the same color!

Today was a beautiful day and I had my first drive with the roof down. Needless to say, I had to take a wrist shot with my CF3:

    sibon.triple-it.nl/images/stories/IW387808/387808_Wrist_20160108.jpg

We went to have a great lunch in a nearby village:

A great way to start the weekend and if you see a post from me in the future with an IWC Porsche Design watch, you now know the reason for that!

    Have a great weekend,

    Clemens

Hello Clemens, very nice car. I have the ref 3704 Porsche Design, but not yet the car. So we both have something to work for.

Great Clemens, congratulations! In your efforts to fly low there are some very interesting Pilot's watches waiting for you, shown at SIHH.

    Kind regards,

Very nice Clemens. Hope to see it when I come to Amsterdam next June. Here's my only Porsche sad to say,

A very nice car ideed, cograts! The 986 series seems like one of the most underestimated car gems to me. Always keep an eye on the crankshaft seal and you will have tons of fun with this beauty!

Major, major congratulations Clemens! That is really a worthy way of spending some of your watch budget ;-) The Boxter is a really nice machine, and I love it in that color. Welcome to the Porsche driver's family!

PS! I did the same as you, got the car first and now I need the watch. I can for sure see an IWC PD watch in my future:-)

Wow, Clemens. That a good looking car. I remember you told me once that this is your dream car. Good to see that it's not a dream anymore. I wish you a lot of safe kilometers with your Porsche!

Congratulation Clemens, that is quite worth a dream.

But these items are a must have for any Porsche owner :-)

Huge congrats, Clemens, and enjoy! Now once you find you Porsche Design IWC, there will still be one more piece out there to complete the set; The IWC legend responsible for a complication I know you love was also involved with these little beauties!

Congratulations, Clemens. A Porsche is an essential piece of kit for all IWC collectors. Enjoy. A perfect colour for ardoise dials.

Thanks guys! It's a great car and the combination with IWC works very well too:

Nice to see the silver scale models Porsches and the IWC Porsche Design watches. I think the scale models are very hard to find but as for the Porsche Design IWC's, I'm already keeping an eye out for a nice Chrono ;-)

Ralph: that Ardoise combo looks amazing!

    Kind regards,

    Clemens
