    Hello everybody,

I have a Portugese Chronograph 8 months old.
This morning I noticed it was not on time.
So I rewinded it. It started again.
Seconds are doing fine but minutes are too slow so the watch looses time (1 hour every 2 hour)...
I tried a manual rewind, it didn't help.

So was just wondering if there was anything special I should know before going to aftersales ?

    Regards,

Best to bring it to your dealer, maybe it is an easy fix, could be that your watch got " magnetised". If not, the aftersales department will do a great job.

    Hi JC,
As the seconds are good, it sounds like the internal friction of the cannon pinion (that the minute hand is fitted to) is not sufficiently strong. This rare occurrence happens when the oil on this part creeps into the wrong position. A complete service is required to repair it. As your watch is only 8 months old, it should be covered by the guarantee.

    Hello,

Thanks to all of you for your help.
I just left the watch at my local IWC representative (France). Its leaving for after-sales service.
    4-5 weeks without it :(

I'll keep you posted if I get any explanations.

    Regards,

    dlm
