No simple idea, other than it's time for a spa visit.
It's already in the spa ... :-)
Thanks o lot ....
Kollnik, is it 5004 or 5009?
Hello everybody. I also have a problem with my power reserve indicator on my IWC Big pilot. When it displays 5,5 days the watch stops in spite of the fact they have 7 day power reserve. Is that a problem or a permissible deviation?
It is a problem. Off to the watch Dr.
Its 5004 Emir...
Hi Guys;
My 5002 has just returned from a full service and is looking great. Problem though; When i wore the watch previously the power indicator would go up say a day after a days wear so as long as I wore it after a few days it would be at the full 7 days and remain there more or less (loses a tiny bit of power at night time). Now after the service with the same wear (I walk maybe 8000 steps a day) the watch loses power at night but doesnt gain anything noticable during the day so over a few days actually loses a days power. Now if I take the watch off and move it slightly more vigorously the power reserve goes back up. I brought it back to the dealer (not an AD) who sent it away for me and they put it on a watch winder and it wound up over night. The dealer tells me the watch has being set up by to the factory spec now and is winding as it should. Maybe i was used to the watch pre service (and it hadnt had a full service by IWC for 8 years.). What should I expect ? any advise please.
thanks,
Mark
If it returned from a full service, you have 2 years warranty on that. And it has to wind on your wrist as long as you're moving. Otherwise you should see a doctor (see IWC ad). So now either you see a doctor or your watch will return to the doctor to see what's wrong. Without any extra cost of course.
Thanks; any idea how much I should expect it to wind once the watch is set up 'as new'. I know it will depend on exercise but an idea even
The automatic winding system should keep the watch wound and running.
If the watch has stopped, or you haven’t worn it for a while, It is recommended that you manually wind the watch to at least 4 or 5 days reserve.
Thanks Ben. My 5002 has lost maybe three quarters of a day in two days.
Hi Ben, it was send to the centre in London I believe. The dealer I used put it on a watch winder and it wound the watch. As you say I may bring it back to the dealer and get it sent back. Thanks
