So excited! I have been researching for a couple months and love that IWC brought back some of the historical flourishes on the Big Pilot. I went to the NYC store and felt compelled to walk out with one! I hope the pictures turned out.

First, congratulations on your IWC. Enjoy in good health. I believe you were trying to post pictures from your own HD. You have to use a host server to post photos. Here's the best way.

Just wondering on peoples' opinions on the deployant strap. I am used to the Portofino buckle and pin style. I feel like the tang buckle led to the strap being more flush with my wrist and a tad less bulky? What has the Big Pilot typically come with? Maybe I just have to get use to the deployant style. I am going to order the brown strap and am unsure which way to go. Nonetheless, absolutely love this watch!

Congrats Kyle, the icon indeed improved again! I'd also put it on a brown strap. The original came on deployment buckle too, I love them but that's personal of course.

    Enjoy your great watch!

Congratulations, the Big Pilot is an amazing watch indeed! Personally I really like the deployant clasp, it makes it much easier and safer to put the watch on. The brown buffalo strap is great, I have it on mine as well.

Enjoy your lovely watch and wear it in good health,

    Clemens

Looks great! I love the BP and I owned a 5002 twice ,,, always ended feeling it was a little big to BIG for my wrist ,,, now I am tempted again ,,, but should let it be and accept it. I am looking into a Mark XVIII now, which reminds me of the original look ... with the "9" back on the dial ...today I wear a Mark XII
