O.K., if #100 is cool with Alan, I'd be happy to take #101!!!

Thank you Michael, It's perfect and exactly what I was hoping for (well something like this). And thank you IWC for making this happen.

    Kind regards,
    Marinus

Many many people have been waiting for a view of the Collectors Forum Pilot ((CFP) for a long time now. Perhaps some right after the news of the CFDV was announced. I hope those who have both the CFI and CFDV will like this one enough to make the CF trio set. That would be quite a rare set that would not only cover three families of IWC but also represent quite a long relationship with the IWC Collectors forum community - which not to lose focus - is what the watch is all about.

The CFx fever has of course many facets and we are all of course looking forward to the next installment of information.

I really like the proposal by Evan:
"Any chance of a "road show" for collectors to get together and view a prototype"

I presume not many people buy watches before actually seeing them and in this spirit I hope that a few pieces can reach around the world where potential buyers / owners can be catalysed into positive decision making. Especially useful for those sitting on the fence.

If the overall package meets my requirements - looks like my pilot collection will be expanded with this special collectors forum pilots watch.

I like the look of this watch very much. I've been a fan of the 3878 Spitfire so it's not surprising that I like this one. Unlike many, I'm a BIG fan of the triple date window. I think CFP will look great on a bracelet - the black dial will provide more contrast with the steel than does the Ardoise dial on the standard version. I do miss the touch of red found on the 3878.

The question for me, given my watch budget, is does this jump to the front of the queue ahead of the Chrono Classic and a couple of other watches I lust for? My feeling at the moment is that if I got a CFP it would be as much for the camaraderie as for the watch itself. While there's value in that, I don't know if that's the course that makes most sense for me. This requires some careful thought...

    Well done IWC.

I agree with you on most points. Having the Spitfire Chrono makes it a tough decision, but not really: CFP looks fantastic on the picture. I like the triple date too, don't regret the absence of red, like the combination of black dial and salmon cream lume. I feel relieved not having bought the Portuguese Chrono Classic. As much as I like the forum, as much or even more I like this CFP, making the total package very desirable. But let time do its work too, and even a possible show of the watch. I would say: more than 95%, which to me equals almost certainty. Oh yes, I already said I'm in!

    Kind regards,
    Paul

    Finally... Thank you, Michael!

You posted this in the one day that I was completely out of internet access but, what a nice surprise it was, now that I'm online again, to have an actual picture to look at!

Many thanks to all involved in making this happen.

I'm now going back to have a good look at the photo...!

    Cheers!

The dial hands and hour markers are an identical colour to that of the platinum Wempe BP Of 2012. And I'd like issue number 48 please.

Hi Everyone, I am new to this forum and I own a few IWC watches. I am based in HKG and can anyone tell me if I would have a chance to see the real one in WATCHES&WONDERS, the first Asian Haute Horlogerie exhibition in September?

I dreamt about it last night. That's a sign, right?

    Regards,

It sure is Adam. But dreams can turn to nightmares....

I woke up middle of last night sweating and in panic - I landed from a long haul flight and MF had posted the sale registration and all the watches had already been allocated! I'd missed out on this fantastic timepiece.

Adam, I tell you - don't sleep it allows for dreaming ... And on this one those that want one, need to stay alert!

Wow, what a great looking watch! I'll have to keep my eye out on how to register. I have been an admirer for a while; but, I may have to seriously consider jumping in!
