    Greetings!

I have a ref 3004 with a 2405 quartz movement. Recently it’s been having trouble with it’s date change and stopping. Are these movements serviceable or will I need to start looking for a replacement?

Also, which collection is thisnwatch in? I’ve seen them listed as being frommthe Portofino line, but it doesn’t seem to fit.

I’m very interested to hear what you folks have to say.

    Best regards,

    joe

    Beautiful watch!
Best is to ask an IWC certified service watchmaker. I'm sure it can be repaired.
It's from a time when the watches not yet had family names.
    I guess it's just named ref 3004.

Thanks! I’ve already sent an email and requested a service box, I don’t think it’d be too much trouble. It looks like a base ETA 940111 under the IWC dress. I just thought I’d ask as a conversation starter and to see what everyone thinks. I’m a big fan of rescuing a watch if it’s possible. Something so satisfying about it.

Ive been to my local IWC dealer and I can’t take my eyes off the MkXVIII. The LPP and the white dial. I’d happily own both but the wallet says otherwise. I’m gonna have to have one though.
